You are in error. While there is no doubt Israel would be inclined to do a preemptive strike against Iran to prevent them from obtaining nuclear weapons, it is no secret that Iran has a long history of wanting to wipe Israel off the face of the Earth.

As for me, well, I'm all for any nation developing any weapons technology it wants to develop.

Let's start with his not keeping Hashemi-Rafsanjani from making a speech about obtaining nuclear weapons. If nukes are contrary to Islam, why would the leader of an Islamic republic allow a Muslim cleric to essentially commit treason by supporting Iran's right to commit this sin (obtaining nukes) against Islam?
