Cops are not allowed to enter your home for no reason right? They are not allowed to read your snail mail on a whim right? Its a ****ing joke when enemy combatants have constitutional rights where full blooded American like myself does not even have an expectation of privacy any more. We have laws for a reason, when we make dramatic changes to our daily lives then they win. That is the whole goal of Terrorism. It is to instill fear and make us abandon the very things we believe in, abandon those things that people have fought and some times died for. I am just tired of this "if you are not doing any thing wrong then you have nothing to worry about" argument. This kind of thinking is what enables police to enter your home because someone thought you where maybe doing something illegal at some point in the distant past. It leads to people being detained because they maybe talked to someone that did something bad. I am really glad that the House and Senate really stepped up to the plate on this one! Great work guys, we can all sleep better at night know that we are getting bent over, for our protection mind you!!!! |

To paraphrase one of the founding fathers (who may have gotten it from someone else), if you're stupid enough to give up liberty for a little so-called "security," you don't deserve to have either one!

A panda walks into a cafe. He orders a sandwich, eats it, then draws a gun and fires two shots in the air. "Why?" asks the confused waiter, as the panda makes toward the exit. The panda produces a badly punctuated wildlife manual and tosses it over his shoulder. "I'm a panda," he says at the door. "Look it up." The waiter turns to the relevant entry and, sure enough, finds an explanation. "Panda. Large black-and-white bear-like mammal, native to China. Eats, shoots and leaves." |
