how do we know the video is authentic? besides smashing a car doesnt constitute a war crime

I figured there would be people in it. Sure, it was dumb to do, but it is hardly a war crime.

The ending soundbite says that the car's owner is a taxi driver and wondered how will he make his living? If in fact this is true, then maybe the wood they were stealing might have belonged to a wood worker/carpenter. How would he be expected to make HIS living if someone steals HIS wood??

I empathise with them, but we don't know the whole story, just what was edited together. And the narrarator??? I never trust voice overs. I only trust that what I hear is authentic is if I see the person saying it for themselves.

I agree with AE. Stupidity maybe, but definitely NOT a war crime. Shall we have some Cristal again?

Hey - this is one heckuva DUI (Driving Under the Influence). I guess the driver was "tanked up" on Vodka.

So what kind of commentary do you have in regards to this story NGoA? Let me guess something along the lines of "Russian tanks are going to crush your children in the streets of New York for your 'war crimes'" Sound about right? Yeah it was over the top but no where near a war crime.

Also, here in the states if you commit a crime involving a motor vehicle chances are it is going to get impounded and crushed ;)

New Gov: No comments on the Russian tank crushing a house while the crew was drunk on Vodka? Does that mean it's OK when Russians do something like this, but its not OK when Americans do something like this?

Should I give commentary to the article, something like "this is an example of the evil Russian empire"?
