Unnamed sources are used all the time. Most whistleblowers are kept anonymous. This is nothing new.

Most unnamed sources also prove to be innacurate in the end. It's just that the media doesn't report it's own failings like it does other people's failings.

I have no problem believing this Adminstation perfectly capable and even willing to do something as stupid and catastrophic as picking a fight with Iran...and then walk away from it, whistling happily.

The economy sucks, the dollar's dead, we have two half-arsed "wars", no international credibility, rising unemployment, a crumbling infrastructure, a tough immigration problem, a looming SocSec and Medicare disaster...and now we're rattling sabres at Iran?!?

If I were a reporter, I'd be asking McCain, Obama and Clinton why the hell they even WANT this next Presidency. The next four years are going to just chew up whoever gets in, and I really have to wonder about the sanity of anyone actually campaigning for the toughest cleanup jobs in our history....

I think a few more would want it because of how they perceive Iran as a threat. I'm speaking of the Pentagon, think tanks and Bush's own herd of people.

I wonder just how much they told congress. Bush's people keep a lot bottled up.

So well thought out with reason and logic. But off by a few feet. Ask them why they lie about wanting to serve the public? Then if any told you the truth you would have your answer as to why they do it.

But then too is the thought that, I would also look at the facts in the middle east. Sure this plan in several stages of updating has been planned over the last few years. But and there is almost always a but.
The fact in the middle east is that Israel has never allowed any state, nation which opposes it to bring any nuclear plants on line.

I think this bombing talk is really a door opener for Israel to do the real work
of making useless the 42+ facilities buried deeply underground.
I don't think we have a bunker buster that could do the job. But do believe that the Jewish State has one to go along with their very modified F-16's.
Some very nice pictures..

My understanding of the new bunker busters is that they are huge, and it like a breaking container of gasoline sending fumes and liquid into airways and passageways, and then it is ignited. I have heard in trials it has had devastating effect on underground facilities.

Bush slipped in funding for retrofitting B 52 bombers to be able to carry and drop these bombs. I think this was slipped into the last Emergency Funding Bill (which is allegedly designated toward only helping our troops).

It would also be my wild guess that if Iran is close to developing nuclear weapons and becoming an imminent threat to Israel, Israel intel will be the first to pick it up and be the first to conduct airstrikes. They have a nuclear arsenal capable of wiping Iran off of the face of the earth.

Still doesn't mean they ain't all nuts. Noble, perhaps, but I think whoever it may be is going to have some buyer's remorse. The next four years will likely be spent trying to clean up this mess, rather than getting anything new enacted, I tell you.

Anf if Bush decides to attack Iraq, either in a fit of pique, or as a last FU to us all as an outgoing President......ay-yi-yi.

I do think it's far more Israel's problem, than ours. I am unwilling to sacrifice our economic stability on more foriegn adventuring.

I am all in favor of enabling the UN to become a credible peacekeeping entity, rather than continuing to play whack-a-mole with US troops. I'd be happy to pass the mantle of World Police onto them.

Hatred is a republican family value as they are always speaking of it. I don't know any lefties who actually HATE bush... we all despise him for what he has done to our country, but hate him? no...
