COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - As Barack Obama broadens his outreach to evangelical voters, one of the movement's biggest names, James Dobson, accuses the likely Democratic presidential nominee of distorting the Bible and pushing a "fruitcake interpretation" of the Constitution.
The criticism, to be aired Tuesday on Dobson's Focus on the Family radio program, comes shortly after an Obama aide suggested a meeting at the organization's headquarters here, said Tom Minnery, senior vice president for government and public policy at Focus on the Family. Dobson accuses Obama of 'distorting' Bible - Barack Obama News - MSNBC.com Considering that Dobson is a major figure within the dominion theology/Christian Reconstructionism camps, I'm going to side with Obama on this one, even if I don't necessarily agree with what Obama says.

A panda walks into a cafe. He orders a sandwich, eats it, then draws a gun and fires two shots in the air. "Why?" asks the confused waiter, as the panda makes toward the exit. The panda produces a badly punctuated wildlife manual and tosses it over his shoulder. "I'm a panda," he says at the door. "Look it up." The waiter turns to the relevant entry and, sure enough, finds an explanation. "Panda. Large black-and-white bear-like mammal, native to China. Eats, shoots and leaves." |

If you haven't yet seen the speech he is referring to you should. It was good, I know I am biased but Obama did well disusing the logic behind leaving morality out of the government.

People like Dobson need to mind their own business. I couldn't care less what Dobson says about Obama or anything else for that matter.
