The Government Doesn't need to be giving any religion more of a recognized status then any other. and by putting the 10 commandments in a government building we offer it legitimacy we don't offer others.

There might equally be things in Hammurabi's Code or Justinian's Corpus Juris Civilis that we Americans find abhorrent but, yes, if we're going to give homage to law codes by putting them on government buildings (like the Supreme Court building) then we should do it with all of the law codes that had an influence on Western civilization.

A panda walks into a cafe. He orders a sandwich, eats it, then draws a gun and fires two shots in the air.
"Why?" asks the confused waiter, as the panda makes toward the exit. The panda produces a badly punctuated wildlife manual and tosses it over his shoulder.
"I'm a panda," he says at the door. "Look it up."
The waiter turns to the relevant entry and, sure enough, finds an explanation.
"Panda. Large black-and-white bear-like mammal, native to China. Eats, shoots and leaves."
