YouTube - George Carlin - Religion is bull****.
Damn funny video. He makes some good points, and summarizes pretty much why I don't really believe in God. Your thoughts?

I don't think he serves any agenda. his humor is pretty well spread out over many different types of victims.

The first time I heard him, was a skit called "Ice Box Man" (it also had "Moose Turd Pie" in it). I thought it was pretty funny, but sinse I was young at the time, I didn't take too well with the curse words that were sprinkled in it. Now, everytime I see his name come up, it is in a thread on a forum and it always is immedently responded with, "he is so right about religion and how stupid it is" (or something similar like with this one). So for me, someone that hasn't listened to a lot of his stuff, everytime he comes up, it is to attack religion. That is what I mean by serveing an agenda (not that he is trying to do it, but that others are using him). I hate when comics and comedians are used to serve agendas. I wouldn't have held it against him, but in a history channel documentary (History of the Joke) he mentioned that he was fine with his jokes being used for an agenda and speficially mentioned his jokes about religion being used to attack religion.

Okay, I'm sorry that I snapped. I just have seen a history of threads that start out this on other forums with non innocent intentions.
