So we can eliminate evolution and creationism as causes of life, so there is something else we are not smart enough to yet figure out. Cancel science and Sunday schools!

I would expect someone who had completed high school biology to have at least a basic understanding of the Theory of Evolution. Just saying.

I understand it quite well, and see God's hand guiding it when necessary.

That's fine as a belief but it fails as a fact.

Only if you can tell us what you mean by, "more than a theory." The fact that you phrased the question this way strongly suggests that you don't understand what a theory is, and I have a sinking suspicion that we've had this conversation before.

Everything is, the fundamental difference between science and religion is just that. We on the side of science realize the possibility that we may be wrong. about this though it keeps passing every test thrown at it.
