Does it scare you that there might not be a heaven or hell to go to. But just dirt and worms eating your body, and you never more? What a sad thought. I wonder how on earth you can go through life with out any hope, no wonder you think in the dark way you do. I feel very sad and try to hope for you to.
I hope and pray that there is a heaven to see my dad. I love my dad more than anything on earth. God bless that man. I hope to see him one day.

"To not exists would be scary" ... you would not exists, you can't be scared.
I do not need hope in something after I live to be happy, I can be happy in this life and try to make the best of it. Not trying to do the best because there is something after is just a sad excuse.

I don't believe in them. It's like saying that it's sad that I won't go to Middle Earth when I die to meet the White Wizard and his band of Hobbits. It's unfortunate, but we don't live in a fantasy novel. I got over it.

Once I'm dead, however, that's it. Whether there is something beyond or not, that's it. No second chances. That's kinda scary too. As for you guys who don't believe in an after-life, what are you doing today to make this life worth it?!

It doesn't scare me at all that there is no after life. I am more afraid that I won't get to do the things I want to do before I die. |

No one should fear death it's inevitible, a simple fact of life, i have no problem with religous people believing in heaven or hell but please dont force your opinions on atheists.... I personally believe in reincarnation not the kind i'll be born into a new baby or summat and dejavu is a glimpse into a passed life,,
but simply i get buried worms eat me.. worms **************** me out.. dirt uses **************** as nutrients tree's are in the mud, trees supply oxygen thus me ending up in the heart of those i knew. Or a kiddy fiddler down a park but u know cant be picky i joke i joke |

the idea in general scares me, but if there is nothing there will not be a me to be upset, so I guess in that regard it wouldn't be too bad. I will hope that there is something after life then that would be good, but if there isn't how would I know?

The concept of an afterlife consisting of either heaven and hell is a childish story akin to belief in the bogey man IMO. I feel we all ultimately go to the same place, but it takes some longer to get there than others. I don't fear my own death but do grieve for loved ones when they leave the physical.
