Personally I am totally against any dictatorship and I would hope that everyone else here is also but if I were given the chance to rule over Britain I probably would. Would everyone else?

Why Britain?

Hell no. Being a dictator sucks. You have to manage ALL aspects of the country frome economics to politics to the military, you're constantly in danger of assassination or coup d'etat, and everybody tends to hate you. No, I think I'd be ok with being a president in a semi-presidential system like France. You're the head of state the military, so you get to handle all of the cool, fun stuff, but the real domestic policy work is all done by the parliament and prime minister's office. Yeah, Sarcozy has it gooooood.

Because I live in Britain, i'd probably be inclined to start a referendum on scottish independance anyway. Maybe I would make you into unofficial advisors to keep you out of the way.

In your few posts i've read, i have to say i'd take you as my dictator before Brown or Cameron as PM, and a dictatorships not necessarily a bad thing, as long as it's a dictatorship of the proletariat

I'm sure they all say that though, I'd probably be a terrible dictator and the same is almost certainly true of you. Either of us would most likely just get power mad and f*ck the world/Britain up before getting assassinated. But it would be fun to try.

I dunno; I honestly feel like I wouldn't go power mad because I never have in the positions of power I've had before (like President of Spanish Club, oh boy...), but then again I think I'd probably crack under pressure.
