I agree with the point that we interfere to much in the affairs of other nations but can you imagine what would happen if we didn't? We think that people hate us now, imagine if we stopped helping others. That would simply enrage everyone else even more. We are truly damned if we do and damned if we don't.

We are hated as Americans in the world generally because of the Iraq War, GITMO, and our interventionism worldwide. In short, BUSH. First and foremost, America needs to rehab after Bush and Cheney. We need to close Guantanamo and reaffirm our commitment to the Geneva Conventions. Ron Paul has his speeches and articles archived on the internet. He has been the one that has focused on the main issue, our interventionism in the world. We are basically everywhere in the world with military bases using a carrot stick approach of foreign aid or threat of our military intervention. We are promoting the American Empire agenda throughout the world. And if we don't stop we will go bankrupt. As critical as it is to have a fresh start after Bush leaves office, we need to purge government of all neo cons. They are the ones that have been directly responsible for our interventionist foreign policy.

A panda walks into a cafe. He orders a sandwich, eats it, then draws a gun and fires two shots in the air. "Why?" asks the confused waiter, as the panda makes toward the exit. The panda produces a badly punctuated wildlife manual and tosses it over his shoulder. "I'm a panda," he says at the door. "Look it up." The waiter turns to the relevant entry and, sure enough, finds an explanation. "Panda. Large black-and-white bear-like mammal, native to China. Eats, shoots and leaves." |

Damn commie! Now, who's gonna be second?
![]() I have to agree with my comrade here, foreign policy is not dictated by the people, but by industry and business in its countrol over government. However that's to say a voter can't do anythign, a vote for a socialist candidate would soon sort out your foreign policy solution.

Even before then they were invading Cuba and making military adventures.

Viva Fidel If there ever was in the history of humanity an enemy who was truly universal, an enemy whose acts and moves trouble the entire world, threaten the entire world, attack the entire world in any way or another, that real and really universal enemy is precisely Yankee imperialism They talk about the failure of socialism but where is the success of capitalism in Africa, Asia and Latin America? |

Yes, though to be fair at that time it was most of Europe aswell, it doesn't excuse it but now I can point to many western countries with a decent foreign policy, at least in comparison to the US.
