unless of course, it is surgical airstrikes aimed at Iran, then I suppose you think it is ok...

correct... both were occupied countries... with no front lines... and a civilian insurgency that could very well be working with you in the daytime and try to kill you at night...

a theoretical I love asking...

if your country was invaded by a superior force, your infrastructure destroyed, your citizens killed or maimed, your own friends and family included, your leaders killed or captured...

would you...
a) collaborate with the occupiers?
or would you...
b) fight back with every fiber of your being?
or...
c) both.

Actually, I don't think surgical airstrikes against Iran are okay, you misread that thread, and please don't take this one off topic with that.

I call it an occupation (as I already said), just because people are dying doesn't make it a war. People die from lightning strikes, that doesn't mean that we are at war with lightning.

Vaguely. So long ago, I suspect that's an old wives tale.....

What constitutes a war, for you?

B, then A if it got hopeless. Fight like hell, then assimilate if it became obvious fighting would be pointless. Maybe try to weasel into the occupied structure and act as a termite from within......yes....yes....excellent....

The terms "insurgent" or "freedom fighter" are completely dependent on one's point of view. If the American Revolution were fought today, Britain would classify us as "terrorists", wouldn't they?
