What is the best argument you've heard on this forum for something you disagree with, it doesn't have to be from just one poster but what have you argued against or seen argued that, even though you disagree, you recognise as a really good point (s)?

For me it would have to be the defense of the right to bear arms from xjoe3x and Drakej, they really do make some good points and however much I disagree it's easy to see where they're coming from.

I think the best one that I heard was when I was debating if jews were a race. I forget who I was debating with, but they convinced me that I was wrong and that they could be called a race.

Debating Mono Tejano about the Ukranian famine. He didnt change my mind about the overriding argument, but made points i was willing to concede. I remember having a similar instance with neorealist, even though it was too long ago to remember the details, its worth recognising that i know he made good points.

I too enjoyed that debate.

One person I have really enjoyed 'debating' is NewGov. Mostly because of his 'unique' debate style. We have locked horns on a few occasions but I especially loved sharing insults in Russian over the issue of Stalin's legacy. I remember fondly when he accused me of being a Russian Jew and a traitor to the Fatherland. Ahh..............memories.
