so whay do you think about two women being able to make a kid with out a men eve being involved

Would not bother me.

I think that it will never happen for two reasons,

1) To get the needed cells, the partner would need to give bone marrow, and very painful and risky operation (putting both people out of work for months) and the success would still be rather low.

2) Both women have XX chromosones, meaning that they can't produce a son, only daughters. You may not think that is bad, but when men go "extict" and you only have women, most of whom are going to be striaght and not attracted to other women and the population would die out.


Men on the other hand, have XY chromes, so they can produce a son or a daughter.

If you belive that men will go extict, then most women most not want men, since that have choosen to get the XX kids

Excellent point! I read a sci fi novel yeas ago about this very subject and only daughters were born. I don't think that narrowing the human race to only one gender would be an improvement but scientific experiments are interesting.

It would start with a slight influx having more women born than men (very small at first) and that will grow as the population of men decreases, more women will chose this method (just like when they can't get the name brand prada purse they want, they get a knock off).

Would women just choose the sperm doners around

There aren't that many sperm doners, and still the odds of getting a boy are only about 50.5%.

When you have a man and women, you'll get roughly 50/50 (m/f)

Woman and woman, you'll get 0/100 (m/f)

Unless you can find a way to increase the odds of having a son (with killing baby girls), than it doesn't matter how many 50/50s you do, it won't balance.
