Raging on the Internet
by RS Davis The Freedom Files ![]() Hello Freedomphiles! If you've read my Nolan Chart pieces, you know that there is one particular commenter - Master C - who likes to pop in and just rip into me for being a libertarian. He's a total flamer, and it has gotten to the point where I don't even respond to him anymore. I've also been a regular on several online forums, and I have watched as even seemingly reasonable people get dragged down into the basest of discourse, saying things they would probably never say to a person's face.... _______________________ Click here to read the rest. |

A panda walks into a cafe. He orders a sandwich, eats it, then draws a gun and fires two shots in the air. "Why?" asks the confused waiter, as the panda makes toward the exit. The panda produces a badly punctuated wildlife manual and tosses it over his shoulder. "I'm a panda," he says at the door. "Look it up." The waiter turns to the relevant entry and, sure enough, finds an explanation. "Panda. Large black-and-white bear-like mammal, native to China. Eats, shoots and leaves." |

I was just musing on whether the anonymity is a good thing or not. Nothing major. Have a look.

although I don't see myself as rude or angry on forums, I do know that I act very different online than I would in person. I'm much more of a push over.

I think I am that rare creature - I am exactly the same online as in person. But, I am trying to make a name for myself, so adopting a persona would be counter-productive.

I am the complete opposite. OE and the real me are two very different people. While all the views are the same, I would never really share my opinions with others. though I'm getting better.
