Default Bureaucratic Fascism: 83 Year Old Grandmother Facing Jail

Bureaucratic Fascism: 83 Year Old Grandmother Facing Jail
by RS Davis
The Freedom Files

Hello Freedomphiles! Eighty-three year-old grandmother of six, Ageda Camargo, bought her three bedroom La Quinta, California home near the Santa Rosa Mountains thirty years ago.

"I was crazy about those mountains," she told the LA Times. "There were no neighbors then, nothing but sand dunes. I loved it."

This little dreamhouse has turned into a nightmare for this cancer survivor, as the city is now trying to force her to tear out her third bedroom - at an estimated cost of $10,000 - simply because one of the previous owners converted it from a garage without a permit....

Idiocy. No permits for such things should be needed.

Let's see, she bought the house more than 30 years ago, the third bedroom was already there, and now the idiots in government want her to tear down the bedroom because a previous owner didn't have a permit? Insane!

"Why?" asks the confused waiter, as the panda makes toward the exit. The panda produces a badly punctuated wildlife manual and tosses it over his shoulder.

"I'm a panda," he says at the door. "Look it up."

The waiter turns to the relevant entry and, sure enough, finds an explanation.

"Panda. Large black-and-white bear-like mammal, native to China. Eats, shoots and leaves."

I agree with xjoex that no permit should be needed. Since one is, something that a previous owner did 30 years ago should be grandfathered in. These effing bureaucrats are NUTS! Do they do the Nazi salute every morning when they come into work? GEEZ!
