ManFishPig in India?
by RS Davis The Freedom Files ![]() Hello Freedomphiles! In the tradition of great cyptozoological wonders like Bigfoot, Chupacabra, and ManBearPig, residents along the India-Nepal border's Great Kali River fear a mysterious monster that swims those waters. You see, after area Indian funerals, they dump the bodies in the Great Kali, and the locals believe that is the key to the monster's proliferation. “The locals have told me of a theory that this monster has grown extra large on a diet of partially burnt corpses,” said biologist Jeremy Wade, who went to the area to investigate the creature for a British documentary. What he discovered was not a monster, but a giant catfish called a goonch, which he believes has acquired a taste for human flesh after feeding on Indian corpses. Now, it has begun attacking live people bathing in the river. It seems to not only have developed a taste for live humans, but it prefers Nepalese to Indian, having attacked both an 18 year-old and 17 year-old from the neighboring country already. Witnesses described the 18 year-olds attacker as an “elongated pig.” Wade dragged the river and caught a ginormous specimen that was six feet long and 161 pounds, or about the size of Allen Iverson (at right), prompting him to note: “If that got hold of you, there’d be no getting away." Wade says that all the bodies thrown in the river are probably responsible for its freakish size: "There will be a few freak individuals that grow bigger than the other ones and if you throw in extra food, they will grow even bigger.” What he failed to comment on, though, was that these people are swimming and bathing in a river with countless rotting corpses. Well, almost all of the British newspapers have a tabloidy quality to them, but this story really comes from a documentary that will air in the UK.

![]() Have you never heard of a broadsheet? We, in Britain, read them every day. The Sun is a rag. Almost all British newspapers are much higher quality. One of the worst insults is to accuse a person of having the attention-span of a Sun reader...RS. |

I didn't say they were all equal - I said they almost all have a tabloidy quality.
