Default Hooray!!lower prices coming

McCain promised lower gas prices and an economic recovery if we expand offshore drilling, good news, he got his wish.
He even went so far as to blame the loss of manufacturing and auto industry jobs on Obama because he opposed off shore drilling, his slogan was no drilling, no recovery.
We should see a sharp drop in gas prices and unemployment soon, hooray!!! The recovery is on the way!!!! The world is saved!!!

Democrats to let offshore drilling ban expire
By ANDREW TAYLOR, Associated Press Writer 27 minutes ago
WASHINGTON - Democrats have decided to allow a quarter-century ban on drilling for oil off the Atlantic and Pacific coasts to expire next week, conceding defeat in a months-long battle with the White House and Republicans set off by $4 a gallon gasoline prices this summer.

Drilling was never really an issue to begin with. The republicans would have you thinking that oil companies could not wait to get to these areas to drill. Not one oil company is interested in starting to drill in these areas for a minimum of like 5 yrs.

I am for this country tapping more of it's own reserves so this is good but to think this is anything other than the republicans once again making an issue out of something it is not, is foolish.

It is really kinda funny. They say it would take until about 2030 before drilling in these areas would have an effect on world production and even then it would only be a couple of percent at best. We would still be dependant on foreign oil and if the Saudis jacked the price up to $200 dollars a barrel do you really think the oil companies are going to charge America a friggin penny less than $200 a barrel? The republicans would have you believe that if the Saudis all of a sudden jacked the price of oil up we could tell them we don't want your expensive oil but Exxon is not going to charge America any less for a barrel than what the world market claims it is worth.

If China says they will pay $210 a barrel and America won't, where do you think Exxon is going to sell their oil?

I can't tell this time whether or not Bush is lying. He is such an idiot that sometimes you can't tell if he is lying or if he is actually stupid enough to believe himself.
