Craig Watkins About to Free ANOTHER Wrongfully Convicted Man
by RS Davis The Freedom Files ![]() Hello Freedomphiles! If you've been following this blog for very long, you know of my man-crush on Dallas County District Attorney Craig Watkins, who has actually partnered with The Innocence Project to review hundreds of cases and make sure they got the right guy. So far, Watkins and The Innocence Project have exonerated 19 people - a national high - and Watkins has vowed to review all of the current death row cases within his jurisdiction, and he has given The Innocence Project unprecedented access to evidence. Well, in a half an hour, a hearing begins that is expected to exonerate Johnnie Earl Lindsey. Convicted of rape 26 years ago, he may have his first taste of freedom later today. How do you make up for stealing a lifetime from someone? His attorney, Michelle Moore, says, "He's scared to come out. I mean it's frightening after 26 years to come out and not have anything." If only every District Attorney in America would follow Mr Watkins example. |
