Keith Olberman was the only person worth watching in this "race." Now all there is are becktard clones. Can't offend the viewers with reality. That cuts into profits. ...

Pointing out that you're retarded doesn't mean you are biased. It just makes you objective. There is nothing wrong with a media that actually attacks hypocrisy and stupidity, as Olberman does.
If this is not an excellent example of elitist thinking, I simply cannot imagine what might qualify as such.

There's nothing wrong with being elite. If they weren't better, they woudn't be elite, now would they!

The crux of the issue is that they have lost their integrity and spines and want to placate the masses for fear of losing viewership. and thus profits. Thus, they must appear to be "neutral,' even if the sacrifice is accurate reporting and tough questions. It's like a bastard child of Wikipedia neutrality and South Park populist philosophy

Sounds like the uneducated ignoramuses are envious of the smarter, well educated elites. That's why they try to bash them and put them down. That's why we have a moron for a President right now. Because the Republicans said Kerry and Gore were elite and Bush was a guy you could have a beer with. Good thinking half of America.

The question is, why do the Republicans WANT less than the best to lead our country?

The other question is, why do the people believe that a man who married a millionaire heiress is not an "elite" and a man who grew up in a single mom household, raised by his grandparents and only got his education through scholarships because he worked hard and was smart, is "elite"?

Is elite rich?

Or is elite just smarter than the average person?

McCain is rich. Obama is smart.

Which elite do you think would better lead the country?

Republicans are succeeding in making elite a bad word.

Just like they succeeded in making liberal a bad word.

Republicans use trickery and lies to win elections. They are good at campaigning with these dishonest tactics, but terrible at running the country.

Elite is not a bad word. However, elitism is bad for the nation. It also slaps the XIVth right in the face. I believe in equality, not elitism or oligarchy which is what we have now.

And Obama's tax plan doesn't include raising your taxes.

And there is no troop reduction happening at this time.

And Mohammed Atta didn't train in Iraq.

And the USA does torture people.

And Sarah Palin actually DID support the bridge to nowhere. She only nixed it after it was already dead in congress. FactCheck.org: GOP Convention Spin, Part II

It's the GOP 'give more to the rich' and let the middle class dissolve that's bringing elitism to our country. For the Republicans to slap that on the Democrats is laughable.

The GOP does not monopolize oligarchy and elitism. It is endimic within the ruling parties.

Starting with Reagan's trickle down economy, the GOP has been monopolizing elitism.

The Democrats believe in bottom up economy. If the people earn enough money, they will go out and buy things and if those things are made in America, the economy will grow.

Republicans believe in tax cuts for the rich so they can buy yachts and mansions and boat makers and construction workers will have jobs.

This is why the minimum wage was not raised for 10 years, while the Republicans controlled congress. The Dems raised it immediately once they got control.

With the GOP way, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.

With the Democratic way, the middle class can grow.
