Dumbarses have stuffed this one up completely.

Problem-oriented policing response is appropriate. But that requires a careful analysis of the causative factors. I think here the idiots have stuck their thumbs up their arses and come up with the curfew idea which is about as useful as pissing on a forest fire.

Yeah, I agree that a curfew is a bit odd, but it's also interesting that the article doesn't really mention how the citizens feel at all.
