Marital infidelity has everything to do with INTEGRITY. If most of them do cheat as you allege, that means they have no integrity and don't deserve positions of leadership IMO. I'd prefer someone with integrity to represent me.

Uh-huh. Ever found anyone to ever represent you?

More seriously, though, while it would be nice, I certainly no longer expect my leaders to be beholden to the same standards I hold myself to. Somewhere over the last ten years or so I've grown more cynical and realized that these people we elect simply don't live in the same world as us peasants do. I consider business and personal to be separate.

Also, I simply do not want to hear about tawdry personal details. At some point, this sort of thing just isn't any of our business.

You should have added two additional options to the poll:
"It's better to leave your husband & toss aside your marriage because he has betrayed the trust".
"It's better to stay with your husband because you are codependent and have low self esteem"
I would have voted for one of the two.

Well, I'd rather see more attention paid to the actual ISSUES and not the crap that we are being bombarded with instead.

Wouldn't that be nice? Given the choices between a philanderer and a chickenhawk warmonger, I'll take the latter, anyday.

I don't think Ron Paul would cheat on his wife because he has more INTEGRITY than that IMO. I think Eeeeewwwwww when I think of anyone boinking GW.

I wouldn't take either one. But I will admit that GW makes Bill Clinton look damned good right now - and I never liked Clinton.

Let's just agree to think of every politician as asexual. I'm sure the prep schools they went to had vats for spawning. The aristocracy reproduces by budding......

Overall, I give Clinton a B-. He presided over a properous time in history and didn't screw it up too bad. As time goes by, most people are looking quite fondly at the 90s.

It is pretty interesting to see the big change in voting behavior. It used to be all about economics, people voted their pocketbooks, ultimately. The last election's polls indicated a very strong trend towards "morals and values".
