Somewhere over the last ten years or so I've grown more cynical and realized that these people we elect simply don't live in the same world as us peasants do. I consider business and personal to be separate. Also, I simply do not want to hear about tawdry personal details. At some point, this sort of thing just isn't any of our business.

It is pretty interesting to see the big change in voting behavior. It used to be all about economics, people voted their pocketbooks, ultimately. The last election's polls indicated a very strong trend towards "morals and values".
