Roller coaster death - MSN Video
This has been all over the news, and I think it's starting to get ridiculous. There was a lady on CNN just now saying that it's the park's fault and that they should have had twelve foot fences with barbed wire on top. What the ****? The punk hopped two six foot fences, passed signs like "Restricted Access - Authorized Personnel Only" and "Danger Zone - Keep Out," then jumped up and tried to touch the foot of someone zipping by in a metal rollercoaster car going some 50 miles per hour, so it's the park's fault because they didn't have barbed wire fences! There is an EPIC ammount of stupidity on the part of the teen in this incident. My condolences to the family, but that guy was an IDIOT. There's nothing else to it. Think of it as evolution in action. |

Agreed... I think of it as an improvement to the gene pool...

I feel sorry for the kid, but at the same time I have to blame the kid. There are fenses there for a reason with BIG SIGNS that say "DON'T ENTER: RISK OF INJURY OR DEATH." I don't see how anyone can blame the park.

I feel bad for his friends, family, and the people who got splattered by him, but I can't drum up much sympathy for someone who deliberately circumvented multiple safety precautions to be an idiot. Good ridden to him.

Give him a Darwin Award, pressure-wash the coaster, and move on. The gene pool just got a shot of chlorine.

![]() Yeah, I can't see how anyone can blame the park, but people are. I mean, twelve foot fences and barbed wire? That doesn't sound like an amusement park, it sounds like a prison. I suppose we should wrap everyone in bubblewrap, pad every hard surface, and not allow the rides to go more than fifteen miles an hour either, right? ![]() |
