Would it be better if both came a bit closer together and stop the total bickering so reason might prevail? Just a thought I was having while reading this thread.

once classified military documents have since been released to the public. In them they talk about the Foxbat incident (I'm sure you already know about that) and the successful stealing of technology from other Migs and the attempts at the Mig-29, which were given up after the Airforce began to solidify it's move in a different direction (Based on the success of the F-16), a move that I, personally, hate. I haven't read the documents in about 5 years.
