I've been to the US quite a few times for lengthy periods and travelled to many parts of it but visiting (even for a few months) and living there are two different things. I've never felt personally threatened in the US (but strangely I have in London and Paris) but having been to places like Detroit I can see what Americans mean when they saw that they support carry concealed weapon legislation. |

I worked delivering pizzas for a while--I didn't carry, but a couple drivers did, and the owner had a loaded (one 00 buckshot, one slug) double-barrel shotgun under the counter.
