AP - New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, the nation's only Hispanic governor, is endorsing Sen. Barack Obama for president, calling him a "once-in-a- lifetime leader" who can unite the nation and restore America's international leadership.

My Hispanic American friends here in California know about him and I would expect that to be the trend in the Southwest. It seems to be the rough equivalent of African Americans appreciating the fact that there are African Americans in government and knowing about them.

Anyone who cares and is paying attention knows who he is. If they don't, then they probably don't even vote anyway.
Richardson did this at exactly the right time. Right when the media is trying to bury Obama under racism issues. I hope he can stand strong and come out on top of this media onslaught. |
