Is a "six-figure tax cut" what I think it is?

Several of my parents friends got six figure tax cuts from GW....needless to say they didn't need them and most were embarrassed for even adminting that they got them.

I am optimistic about the healthcare thing, I refuse to believe that our government won't help 8 million uninsured children. The tax cuts for the mega rich disappearing is pretty much a fact.....

Why stop at the mega rich when you can start raising taxes on the lower middle class?

Quote:
Obama and Clinton both promise to reverse Bush’s tax cuts for wealthier taxpayers, but the Democratic budget they’ll be voting for would allow income tax rates to go up on individuals making as little as $31,850 and couples earning $63,700 or more.

A Republican alternative that largely mirrored a plan by McCain to permanently extend Bush’s tax cuts and eliminate the alternative minimum tax was expected to fail badly, with party moderates distancing themselves from the GOP plan’s huge cuts in popular programs like Medicare, housing, community development, and the Medicaid health care program for the poor and disabled.
I don't think there should be any tax increases for the middle class but here is your alternative taken from the article you linked to....we are heading into a reccession, we have a healthcare crysis leaving 8 Million children in the US without Insurance and medical care, and now is the time to cut medicare and medicaid??

What is the logic behind a six figure tax cut? Surely a better idea would be a six figure tax increase.
