I have previously posted a thread about all of the Republicans that will be leaving. It is an opportunity, but the Democrats are good at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

As much as Bush Republicans need to be purged from government, Americans need a better alternative than the same old Democrat tax and spend on social programs. It is the spending part that raises concern for me as we are headed for a bankrupt federal government. It was the Democrats that got an extra 20 billion dollars added on to the 150 billion rebate bill. They helped to pass the last Omnibus Bill, the most expensive bill and pork in history. They are an integral part of the 426% increase in pork for fiscal 2008.

For the Democrats to take a new direction, we need better leadership in that direction than Pelosi and Reid.
