Holy Smoke!!
by RS Davis The Freedom Files ![]() Hello Freedomphiles! Police are harassing a Bulgarian priest named Father Cyril Papudov because he has a huge crop of the sticky-icky growing right in the back courtyard of the church. Papudov has been arrested seven times over the plants, but nothing has stuck because they haven't actually seen him out cultivating the crop. After all, marijuana is just a plant - a weed that grows naturally - and, as the curiously mellow priest asserts, the crop is a part of "God's gift of nature," and sprung up all on its own. Local police are unconvinced: "There has been a great deal of suspicion over the years about what is going on with these plants. "He is a man of the cloth and so a lot of people don't want to think badly of him but frankly if someone has a huge crop of cannabis in their back garden it's highly unlikely they are just sitting there admiring its horticultural properties." So, they're going to put the priest and his pot under 24-hour surviellance, hoping to catch him taking a midnight stroll to his own Garden of Eden. Check out reason magazine's illuminating article on Mary Jane and religion.

Another giant waste of tax-payer money brought to you by the war on drugs.

Heck, the stuff grows wild (it's called "weed" for a good reason)...it grew in the woods behind the junior high school I went to.

There was a church in Hollywood called the 420 temple and they had services built around cannabis in the new and old testimate and they gave out weed to the members. Did not make the FEDs too happy and they stepped in shortly. There is some truth to the nickname hollyweed.
Legalize it. |

Cannabis (marijuana) was in the anointing oil of the New and Old testament. I challenge anyone to a debate who thinks that the exodus verse is correctly translated to calamus instead of cannabis.
