If the choice is between responsibility and accountability versus every-man-for-himself I will obviously choose the former. Things work best when there are checks and balances...nations included.

I am firmly in favor of a very high degree of sovereignty. But, just like libertarians constantly tell me, freedom and rights end when they negatively impact someone else. How Iranians treat their adulterers is one thing, not abiding by things like treaties is something else.

Somehow, I am just not terribly afraid of such a backwards, goofy country. The Bush Administration's really trying to sell Iran as the next Great Evil, but these guys are living in the 8th century. Even if they got nukes, they probably think they work with magic spells and djinnis.....
