Trust me, I'm a socialist! ![]() There's power in a factory, power in the land, power in the hand of the worker. But it all amounts to nothing if together we don't stand, there is power in a union. Sorry I didn't make myself clear. I do consider Chavez to be a power-hungry crook, but he's not in the same league as someone like Videla, who made as many as 30,000 disappear during Argentina's "Dirty War."

He'll find a way to run or something. Or he'll pull the old second-in-command trick as we've seen recently.

Hmm, which other country in all of the Americas has a referendum? If my memory isn't dead from all the bullocks thrown around by corporate media, Chavez actively campaigned for the introduction of such a measure, which would later defeat one of his largest propositions. How come we don't have a federal referendum? Or recall?
I'd like to see this list of opposition leaders. I have my suspicions a lot were involved in the illegal coup attempt against Chavez, in which case - who cares? (If there was a coup against Dubya, would the people put him back into office?)
