Hold the frockin' phone for a second.

What has Chavez done to put him anywhere near that list?

I'm sorry but I'll need evidence that Chavez, a democratically elected leader that actually won the popular vote unlike either Bush or Blair, is just a Latin American thug. Where are the human rights abuses? Where are the mass graves? Where is the military control of politics?

Sorry I didn't make myself clear. I do consider Chavez to be a power-hungry crook, but he's not in the same league as someone like Videla, who made as many as 30,000 disappear during Argentina's "Dirty War."

He'll find a way to run or something. Or he'll pull the old second-in-command trick as we've seen recently.

Hmm, which other country in all of the Americas has a referendum? If my memory isn't dead from all the bullocks thrown around by corporate media, Chavez actively campaigned for the introduction of such a measure, which would later defeat one of his largest propositions. How come we don't have a federal referendum? Or recall?

I'd like to see this list of opposition leaders. I have my suspicions a lot were involved in the illegal coup attempt against Chavez, in which case - who cares? (If there was a coup against Dubya, would the people put him back into office?)

Amnesty International can only identify about 70 political prisoners in Cuba, most closely associated with American espionage, and yet we actually had television debates over the merits of Pinochet (10,000+ dead and missing). My god it will never stop until these corporations are trampled over.
