No matter though. He's damaging the Venezuelan economy, his citizens are tiring of his failures and he is likely to be voted out of office in the next election.
well if that happens you and your buddies are wrong.

He would have to leave quietly. The people like him enough though It will not for a while.

His popularity is rapidly plumetting because of his mismanagement of the economy resulting in shortages of basic consumer goods.

It's very likely that he'll lose the next election.

Which election are you referring to?

If you notice on the top of the Wikipedia page you linked, the following two statements let you know that the information you are referring to may not be accurate:
"This article or section may contain original research or unverified claims."
"This article or section is missing citations or needs footnotes."
Anyone who does online research knows that Wikipedia may be a good place to start your research, but should be referenced as a credible source.

IMF does not list Venezuala as a "developing country". It lists Venezuela as a country with an "Emerging and Developing Economy".

"Developing country" is a general term. If, in a conversation about Economics, "Emerging and Developing Economy" doesn't say to you that Venezuela is a developing country, then you're a blatant fool.

Go back and insert the "Emerging and Developing Economy" in the original post by Levi...

And those are examples from incredibly wealthy countries.
The point remains the same.

You never answered the question, Bourne. What do you consider to be a developing country, and why do you not consider Venezuela to be one?

Identifying Venezuela as a developing economy is irrelevant to the fact that it is in decline.
