You dont want to "overrun" Cuba in the sense of making it a part of your nature. Nope you see that would mean having to grant the citizens of that country certain rights(such as human rights). No the way the empire will overrun in ruling the country through its capitalists and corporations. That way the revenue and resources of Cuba will go into the American economy. This can be done abusing workers rights and free of charge by exploiting the Cuban nation.

Cubans aren't capable of making the decision to resist this on their own?

Talking from the vantage point of a country that experianced imperialism for the majority of our history and have only recently released itself from its shackles. And even then we have not broken away completely. They may want to but the empire is stronger.

Are you advocating an Irish dictatorship?

Ah, nothing better the European boys in love with South American machismo.

Good for the pretty little brown people, not so much down the street. Dictatorships are never good.

I will Listen and sometimes agree with the Ideas of communism and socialism, but they loose all credibility when they praise the power of the people, all the while muting them.

You can not call your self the peoples anything if they don't get a say ever.

It is as sickening to me as red neck Americans hating South American Presidents like Chavez way to much.

You need to take the Cuban situation in context

Cuba has abandoned "democracy", okay fair enough. But Cuba is faced with being overrun by an empire. The other noteable period of history in which the same can be said of is WW2. The UK was faced with an aggressive empire who wanted to control it. The UK response - abandon democracy, throw the brownshirt Hitlerites in prison, after all they were in support of the empire who looked to destroy what Britain provided its citizens. Cuba does the same. They should not be attacked for this, they should be applauded as Churchill was.

George Galloway explains this and more - such as human rights in Cuba.

How long has a Castro had power in Cuba?

And there is no real imminent threat. Maybe some one not so Scruffy and old Could actually stop egging the problem on. I will watch your Vid when I have a moment. and give it its fair shake. and return to reply then.

Do you really have so little faith in the intelligence of the Cuban people that they can't figure out that socialism has done pretty well for them, and it is in their interest to vote in similar such policies?
