If confidentiality is so critical why publicize the incident in the first place?

And what's to say it's not Ahmadinejad just stirring the pot? Again, knowing that the President has no real power, why take out the President? You change nothing by whacking him. You gain nothing.

BTW: Damn you Fernando Torres!

Precisely. He knows that it's coming down to crunch time regarding his nuclear program so he's trying to divert attention and garner some sympathy by slinging the usual anti-American, anti-Israeli nonsense.

Without proof no one is buying his crapola.

I see no problem in him saying it, it's in the public interest to know such things. Where i stand is, it is foolish to simply believe Ahmadinejad, but it is just as foolish to dismiss his claim. Basically there is every chabce it is true, but it is obviously not proven fact.

They talk about the failure of socialism but where is the success of capitalism in Africa, Asia and Latin America?

But why would the U.S. want to whack Ahmadinejad? If I would have an easier time believing the claims if say Khamenei came out and said it, but with Ahmadinejad it makes no sense. He's not a person of importance.

Yes, the President and the legislature have limited power, but they are not completely devoid of it, and they are not merely figure heads in the sense that the British monarchy, for example, is.

Khameni would definately be the more favourbale option for the US. Ahmadinejad's death wouldn't directly bring any real change, but it could be a warning to the Ayotollahs that they had better change policy.

And Ahmadinejad is the one who is never out of the media, for whatever reasons. He is the one who gets all the bad press, rightly or wrongly. I guess it would be a cause of much jubilation in the US far right and Israel lobby.

At least they are playing better than the last game with Spain, not that it would be too dificult.

Where are you from anyway ?

They only have power if the groups such as Council of Guardians let them have it. Parliament can pass 100 laws in one year and it could be feasible that all the laws are vetoed.

So killing him to please the U.S. far right and the Israeli's only? Nah, they wouldn't risk it and the potential international fallout

I'm from Iran lol, lovely city of Shiraz. Lived in your country for a little more than seven years (Keele!). Now living in the U.S. Somewhere in there I lived in Denmark for a year too.

EDIT: That's now two chances Pavluychenko has missed!
