But the rest of your post makes it clear that you're really placing all the blame on Israel. You said, "Israel wants to have its cake and eat it too. It wants a cease fire and to still do whatever it wants whenever it wants. If it truly was interested in a cease fire, it would cease killing Palestinians." So, what you're really saying here is that Israel is supposed to do nothing while Palestinian terrorists (Islamic Jihad) plans terrorist attacks against Israel. Israel is supposed to do nothing while Hamas (the duly elected Palestinian "government") shoots hikers.

You said what I quoted you as saying. Go back to your earlier post. Yes, you also added "Neither side is right in this" but that's really an attempt to downplay the Palestinians' violation of the cease fire agreement, to downplay Hamas' attack on Israeli civilians (hikers) and to downplay Islamic Jihad's planning a terrorist attack on Israel.

Islamic Jihad is a party to the cease fire agreement. So, yes, the cease fire was broken. Further, since Hamas is the duly elected Palestinian government, it is responsible for what occurs within its territory and, so, has an obligation to keep Islamic Jihad under control.

Sorry, I missed where IJ is party to the ceasefire. I don't remember reading that anywhere.

At any rate, it is unreasonable to expect Hamas to maintain control over everyone in Gaza, especially given the fact that Israel does everything in its power to hamstring their ability to govern.

But note that it was Islamic Jihad IN THE GAZA STRIP that fired missiles into Israel in retaliation for Israel doing its job and dealing with an Islamic Jihadist in the West Bank that was planning a terrorist attack on Israel.
