Perhaps you'd like to explain how well we're doing in Iraq these days with our air superiority and all. Are we still viewed as liberators there?

How about in the wilds of Afghanistan? We own the skies there as well... Can we leave the cities? How about the opium crop? Since we own the skies, we should be able to iradicate that crop of poison...

The point, bournie, is that our air superiority hasn't done a thing to help the situation on the ground in either country. It hasn't ended the insurgency now, it didn't end it in Viet nam... it can't... the citizens of an invaded country will always fight back against the occupying forces... air superiority can't fight that.

Which is exactly what will happen if the neocons are stupid enough to invade Venezuela before November. Their military will be defeated easily but the insurgents will kill thousands of americans.

Wonders where they will be finding the troops for such an adventure. That's a different kind of war... jungle fighting as opposed to desert fighting... oh wow... I just thought of something, they'll be making billion$ resupplying the military with jungle camos...

Not at all. The Tomahawk is a precision weapon...the targets would be the airfields, and nothing else. Leveling the country would best be done with a half-dozen FAE bombs.

Bourne called you a marine... I doubt it... all the marines I know would gladly sign up again without hesitation... they call themselves, former marines. They served with pride and do not refer to their enlistment as I served my time. Like I said, that sounds more like you were in prison.

But... maybe you are and your hitch wasn't all that great... could happen... it ain't like the military actually lets you pick your assignments or jobs... like you could have been the sh!t burner... or the latrine queen... or maybe spent all your time on guard duty or in the mess hall...

or maybe you spent your time in the stockade and serving time is exactly what you did...
