The local elections in Wales and England appear to be indicating a complete meltdown for New Labour. The Liberal Democrats always the third party since the rise of Labour in the 1920s have even faired better.

What does this mean for New Labour where do they go from here.

Even the socialist faction of New Labour are taking a hit as even "Red" Ken Livingstone has lost the mayoral elections in London to the Torie Borris Johnstone.(A**hole)

Bad luck, wrong time to move. It's a big shame, Ken especially but even New labour losing seats is a problem because they're being lost to the tories mostly, and the BNP have gained quite a few seats aswell. Britain's going to sh*t, well I suppose it has been since Blair screwed over the whole political spectrum in Britain. but then again it was going to sh*t before that with Thatcher, man I wish I was Venezuelan.

Respect got 4 councillors elected, but they only really ran around London. I don't know how Galloway has faired in the assembly election though.

What do you think this marks for the future of British politics. In my opinion its the end of the peace process, further involvement in Iraq and the further undercutting of public services in Britain. Cameron must be laughing. Brown and Blair have ruined Labour.
