I'm sorry to say this, but since we went to play no part in our world. Then I will say to be fair, that we should not help the people in a third world low laying place it just hit. NO AID,Funds or anything. You can't have a double stardards.

It can/should be up to churches and their mission programs to help in times like this and/or Franklin Graham's Samaritan's Purse for ie.

Wouldn't you reckon that church mission programs, Samaritan's Purse, CARE, UNICEF, etc., would be viable enough? I mean it's no wonder that we have such a budget deficit here in the U.S. and plus we have a lot of poverty, etc., here on our own home soil. |

Not that I'm against intervening in some situations, but there is a difference between staying out of a country's political affairs and sending aid to poor people who have virtually nothing after being hit by a devastating storm.

Personally that low laying country that is about the size of washington has 150,000,000 people. Maybe it is not so bad that a few million are removed from the equation....Having so many people in a tight area makes it poor and makes it very hard to move out of the hole that country is in. They should be thanking god for Sidr. That may sound nuts, but it is truthful.
This sucks for the people that die from the cyclone. It is sad that so many people have to live this way, but they and only they can over throw there government and make it better for them selfs. I say copying some of our systems for starters. Last edited by Matthew : 11-16-2007 at 09:46 PM. |

Its not always that easy...and our system is not going to work everywhere, nor is it turning out to be very successful lately...I don't think our country is what it once used to be. |
