Chavez is not anti-American, he loves the American people as he loves his own people, the point of his speech is to stand up to the people that are destroying your economy and safety, aswell as the economies and safety of many other countries and say that he will not be pushed aside. What he is supporting is traditional American values; standing up to Empires and corrupt regimes, promoting freedom for everyone and international co-operation. Are these not some of the values your country was founded on?

Chavez doesn't want war, and the American people surely don't want war. Chavez wants an end to the American empire, and so do many Americans. This idea of "bring it on" achieves nothing and just promotes midless nationalism and war-mongering, the American people should work with Chavez to maintain the values your country was built on.

he may now WANT a war, but he sure is preparing for one. What with his submarine puchases and desire to organize a regional military aliance within Latin America. I'm not saying he has nothing to fear from the 'empire' but the level of threat hasn't changed, since the Monroe Doctrine, and now he's the one revving up the rhetoric machine.
