About a decade ago, "The New York Times" "Sunday Magazine" carried a piece describing "Triagist Forigne Policy". In effect "The Super Powers" would be forced to cut support to client states in order to maintain political and economic stability in the 'Super Power Cores'. The client states would be allowed or even encouraged to self destruct via civil wars and revolutions while still providing various resources to the "Super Powers" in exchange for the very weapons with which to destroy themselves. Over time this policy could result in the self destruction of millions of 'excess consumers'. Looking at Africa, South America, South East Asia etc. one might almost suspect this 'policy' was already in place. The price of rice across much of South Asia has risen some three hundred percent. The price of flower is skyrocketing. Anyone familiar with the Christians Mythos "Revelations" might find interesting metaphors concerning a "beast with three heads" and "a penny for a grain of wheat and see thou hurt not the oil and wine". It may be some sort of "unconscious" or "instinctive" awareness of 'the facts of planetary life'. The same cycle has been happening to "empires" / "super powers" since their first appearence some five thousand years ago. Perhaps "Humankind" is a sort of retarded species among intelligent technological species inhabiting the universe?. Has it occured to anyone to spend as much on technologies to preserve life as is spent on destroying it?.

Between 'affairs of state' and sexual affairs, the elites have little time to study? : laugh :

Virtually every conflict between masses has been over raw materials and resources since tribal days. "Hunting Grounds" "Well's" "Fertile Ground"...food being one of the most important resources. Since tribal days, down to the present day "food shortages" / "famine". Who wins is a matter of chance. Had Germany gotten the atomic bomb first, the world would be a very different place today.
Warring Powers fighting to maintain political and economic stability within their own environs. They all claim to be 'different' or have god on their side but in fact they are the same. They all need to put food on the table, creat jobs and after that amuse the people. America alone is said to consume a little over fifty percent of the worlds known natural resources in order to maintain its economy / lifestyle / political stability. America is three hundred million people. There are now basically three political entiites in the world, equally matched when it comes to nuclear weaponry. 'EuroAmerica' 'Russia' and 'China'. This gives each the power to demand a fair share of the worlds resources. Bad luck for those who do not have the power. The real problem is that eventually there won't be enough for the three big boys to maintain their own internal stability. New Resources must be found or some gross economic failure will produce a new Hitler, Stalin or Mao. Perhaps even in America. Roughly the same scenario has repeated itself for all of known human history. We give them enough to kill each other with but not us. We might even fake conflicts amongst ourselves. Sorry...this is turning into a modern virsion of "The Three Pigs". God I hope I'm wrong. ![]() |
