There is nothing new about it, of course. But it's always good to speak the truth to slain the beast of US media....
Here's latest from Iran: Mon, 14 Apr 2008 ![]() Brigadier General Seyyed Massoud Jazayeri A senior Iranian military commander has slammed Western media for publishing a 'false' report about an Iran-US naval confrontation. On Friday, the CNN and several news agencies reported that there had been a confrontation between Iranian boats and a US navy vessel in the Persian Gulf. Tehran's response was that there was no confrontation but just a routine identification check. The reports echoed similar allegations by the US back in January about an encounter in the Strait of Hormuz. “The news released by the US media, including CNN, about a confrontation between Iranian boats and a US navy vessel in the Persian Gulf waters and its quick withdrawal, once again prove that these media outlets are unreliable,” said Brigadier General Seyyed Massoud Jazayeri. “Of course, this is not the first time that the American and British media are busy spreading gross falsehoods and half-truths,” he added. Jazayeri also said that the publication of 'false' news by the BBC, Fox News, CNN, and the like stems from their untruthful nature. "Just like George W. Bush, the Western media happen to be great liars," he added. Press TV - 'Western media lie just like Bush' |

I think it's more a case of the US media gleefully accepting everything they are fed by the US propagandists. And then embellishing it a little. This will be the second time the US has lied about a confrontation and they will probably get caught in this one too. Most Americans probably don't even know that they were caught in the first one because it's never corrected by their biased media.

Actually the Iranian track record on telling the truth is better than the US track record. Deal with reality for a change. Are you capable?

You made the original assertion, you provide the proof. You only think that Iran lies more because you have been conditioned to believe that. It's based on nothing tangible in the least.
Forget everything that's been planted in your brain and start dealing with reality. It's your country that is the evil aggressor in this world and the biggest threat to humanity on the entire planet. I'm fininshed with you until you come to your senses. Are you capable? Last edited by Lumara : 04-14-2008 at 05:27 PM. Reason: insult |

As much as that may be true, isnt your source about as unreliable as any media also?
The January incident was nothing to joke about, and I havent heard anything about this new thing so our lying media must have missed that story.
