Or Iran's lying, something that they've had plenty of practice in doing.

Here's latest from Iran:

Mon, 14 Apr 2008

Brigadier General Seyyed Massoud Jazayeri

A senior Iranian military commander has slammed Western media for publishing a 'false' report about an Iran-US naval confrontation.

On Friday, the CNN and several news agencies reported that there had been a confrontation between Iranian boats and a US navy vessel in the Persian Gulf.
Tehran's response was that there was no confrontation but just a routine identification check. The reports echoed similar allegations by the US back in January about an encounter in the Strait of Hormuz.
“The news released by the US media, including CNN, about a confrontation between Iranian boats and a US navy vessel in the Persian Gulf waters and its quick withdrawal, once again prove that these media outlets are unreliable,” said Brigadier General Seyyed Massoud Jazayeri.

“Of course, this is not the first time that the American and British media are busy spreading gross falsehoods and half-truths,” he added.
Jazayeri also said that the publication of 'false' news by the BBC, Fox News, CNN, and the like stems from their untruthful nature. "Just like George W. Bush, the Western media happen to be great liars," he added.

Press TV - 'Western media lie just like Bush'

1. The US has videos of the incident.
2. Not enough: Iranians seized 15 British sailors in international waters
3. Don't believe that? Maybe the Australians are lying too:

"The Defence Department has confirmed a report Iranian naval forces in the Persian Gulf tried to capture an Australian navy boarding team but were repelled in the face of machine guns and "highly colourful language".

According to the BBC, the incident took place months before Iranian Revolutionary Guards seized 15 British sailors and marines in March., setting off a tense two-week diplomatic stand-off that might have been avoided if Britain had learned from the Australian encounter.

The Britons were captured over a boundary dispute while they were searching a cargo boat.

Quoting a "military source", BBC security correspondent Frank Gardner reports Iranian forces made a concerted attempt to seize a boarding party from the Royal Australian Navy and that the Australians "were having none of it".

"The BBC has been told the Australians re-boarded the vessel they had just searched," Gardner reports, "aimed their machine guns at the approaching Iranians, and warned them to back off, using what was said to be 'highly colourful language'."

"The Iranians withdrew, and the Australians were reportedly lifted off the ship by one of their own helicopters."

Speaking to the ABC today, Gardner said the Australian encounter was similar to that in which the 15 British were captured.

At least the Iranians are consistent.

But don't believe the US
Don't believe the video
Don't believe the British
Don't believe the Australians
Don't believe CNN.

Bourne, you really do need to come to terms that you are living in the country that lies the most. Of course all countries lie at some point, but you have no proof to say that Iran has plenty of practice lying.

We are living in the country that is bad. We are living in an Empire bent on controling the world in one way or another.

How are we bent on controlling the world. The only poor excuse you can use is Iraq. Well, that is not about control, or we would have controlled it long ago. Its about keeping the war going for money. Nothing else.

Any other "examples?"

By the way, if the US is so bad, why are you here? You will notice that at almost every world disaster, there is one country that does something to help.
I can assure you, its not Iran.

Yes, telling non-truths seems to be common place for the majority of politicians. It's been going on for a very long time, from the beginning of US history. "White man speak with forked tongue". Remember that quote? It was the Native Americans that coined that phrase, after the governemt at the time made promises of land and freedom. Not much has changed over the decades. EVERY government worldwide will lie in order to advance their agenda.

It's not a question of which country lies the most. It's a question of why countries lie.

How about the overthrowing of governments all over the world, installing puppet regimes for economic control. Crude neocolonialism.

They talk about the failure of socialism but where is the success of capitalism in Africa, Asia and Latin America?
