Yes it is. It is on Cuban soil, the US are squatters on the land.

Viva Fidel If there ever was in the history of humanity an enemy who was truly universal, an enemy whose acts and moves trouble the entire world, threaten the entire world, attack the entire world in any way or another, that real and really universal enemy is precisely Yankee imperialism They talk about the failure of socialism but where is the success of capitalism in Africa, Asia and Latin America? |

I support Chavez, but i'm iffy about speed of this transformation.
Venezuela is swimming in oil for now, but what happens when it runs out? They need to be able to compete internationally and as there is so much poverty and so many ill-educated people (which Chavez has improved immensely) how can this country succeed without an efficient basic, resource driven economy. If Chavez doesn't get an educated, modern country quickly - he'll run out of oil first and then it might all go to the poo. |

Then you clearly don't understand that in the US, the Constitution states that that the People grant certain powers to the government, not that the government gives rights to the People.

I don't think that widespread nationalization would solve US economic woes.
Horses for courses. I think that nationalization in many areas could be very helpful in a country like Venezuela.
