First of all, you are talking about old technology. The Lavi is a 20 year old design.
Second of all, arm sales are done all the time between foes through other countries. While investigating the arms business, I found American companies selling current jet fighter parts to Taiwan, which were restricted sales. GE has been selling technology to Iran which ends up in Iraq to be used against our troops. There was just a big bash on TV last night about that. Done all the time.
