It is US Christian zionist groups which have the most influence, not Jewish zionist groups (though they have a lot too).
Gallup Polls show clear US support for Israel among the population: A Gallup poll in February of 2007 found that 58% of Americans were sympathetic towards Israel with regards to the conflict, and only 20% were sympathetic towards the Palestinian people. By March, 2007 Gallup reported that “as Americans have moved out of the ‘no preference’ columns, they have moved disproportionately into the pro-Israeli column.” Public Opinion Toward Israel In a 2006 CNN poll, when asked about economic aid to Israel 10% of respondents stated that Israel should receive more economic aid from the US while 49% of Americans stated that the United States should continue to give Israel the same amount of aid. Only 36% of Americans stated that aid to Israel should either be decreased or stopped. When it comes to military aid 12% of respondents stated that Israel should receive an increase in aid while 51% said that it should stay the same. Only 31% of Americans said that military aid to Israel should either be decreased or stopped. These numbers indicate a rather strong support base for Israel within the United States. Public Opinion Toward Foreign Aid It may suck, but Americans tend to approve of the US government helping out Israel and tend to be much more sympathetic towards the Israeli cause. I do agree though that the American public tends to be underinformed on the issue though. Last edited by Dylith : 03-07-2008 at 11:47 AM. |

Some consequences of the 1948 Arab Israeli War (for the Israelis: War of Independence ). All these fact are proven .... - Establishment of Israel on 78 % from captured Palestinian ground. - Zionists troops have expelled more than 750 000 Palestinians .... - Zionist fighters caused a bloodbath in Deir Yassin. - The conflict and the destruction of more than 500 Palestinian villages and cities by Zionists was responsible for ca. 750 000 Palestinian refugees - The Zionist army which was led by Ben-Gurion had planned the Palestinian Exodus.. The Zionist army used different methods: economical warfare, psychological warfare and the destruction of whole Palestinian villages together with the expulsions of its habitants. The Palestinian exodus was an ethnic purification. Benny Morris confirmed later Israel and its Zionists did a ethnic purification. All these crimes are committed by Zionists to accomplish an illegal state without reason for existence.

Zionists? Dude, you sound like my Dad waxing paranoid about the Kazarans.
Any free people who wants to kick a bunch of slave-owning savages out of their own neighborhood are free to do so. To paraphrase Rand: any free society has the right, but not a duty, to destroy any despotism. When the Arabs attacked Isreal and lost, they lost all claim to any of the land Israel won in retaliation. If the Palestinians do not want to become Isreali, they should move back to their homeland. It's called Jordan. (or Egypt, if they're in Gaza). |
