This is an important bill and needs to be passed if your for real boarder conrol
and the issues within. You can read the text, see who has voted and respond if you like to. The committee is trying to stall it.

It looks like a good bill.

I agree. There will be only the rich and the poor after the middle class wealth is siphoned off by the military industrial complex.

After reading a fair portion of the actual bill, it's plain that it is simply more of the same.

see the following:

"SEC. 111. NATIONAL STRATEGY TO SECURE THE BORDERS.

(a) Requirement for National Strategy- The Secretary, in consultation with the heads of other appropriate Federal agencies, shall develop a national strategy to secure the borders that describes actions to be carried out to achieve operational control over all ports of entry into the United States and the international land and maritime borders of the United States by December 31, 2010."

We do not have a plan to 'secure' the borders (whatever that means) and no one has been able to formulate a reasonable, practical, implimentable plan thus far.

What DO we have?

We have a plan to MAKE a plan. In two and a half years.

Nice job elected officials!

You're right. This is an EXTREMELY important bill. Nancy Peeloosely has it bottled up in committee. By far the most important aspect of the bill is it's UNIVERSAL MANDATORY E-VERIFICATION provision. Employers are required to check on the legal status of employees. If an employer is then caught hiring illegals, the employer faces hugh fines up to losing their business license. This is CLEARLY the only way to stop the illegal Mexican invasion. To make the scumbag employers of illegals STOP hiring illegals, which will remove the jobs magnet that draws illegals here in the first place. With no jobs waiting from scumbag employers of illegals the illegals will stop coming and those 20 million illegals already here, suddenly without jobs too, will mostly SELF DEPORT back to their hellholes. All at little cost to American taxpayers.

Todate 178 Republicans and 10 Democrats have signed the discharge petition to bring the bill up for a vote. Wow. 10 Democrats, huh?

178 to 10 is a clear indication that the majority of Republican politicians are fighting illegal immigration while the majortiy of Democratic politicians are fighting the Republican politicians fighting illegal immigration.
