Default Legislators From Mexican State Angry Over Influx Of ... Mexicans

Wow! Looks like the new tough on illegals laws recently passed in Arizona are working! Although most of the illegals that left Arizona and Oklahoma just moved to Texas, apparently some went back home.

Quote:
A delegation of nine state legislators from Sonora was in Tucson on Tuesday to say Arizona's new employer sanctions law will have a devastating effect on the Mexican state.
At a news conference, the legislators said Sonora - Arizona's southern neighbor, made up of mostly small towns - cannot handle the demand for housing, jobs and schools it will face as illegal Mexican workers here return to their hometowns without jobs or money.

No, that's rich. I love the irony.

The Mexican politicians might be forced to take some of the graft money that they've been skimming and actually use it for public welfare.

yeah, I'd like to thank the governments of both Arizona and Oklahoma for doing something so idiotic that the only thing it did was shift the problem from one state to another.

Nice job guys.

I don't see any problem with the effect. They shifted the problem from two US states to one Mexican state. Let Mexico deal with its citizens.

actually no.

they shifted the problem from two US states to three other US states. Texas, New Mexico and California. And to a much smaller extent, one Mexican state, Sonora.

Look around and see where those people went. They went where the jobs are, and they aren't in Mexico. They're here.

The Sonorans are complaining because people can't get into the US as easily as they did before, and on that point I have no problems, but the issue is with states applying laws differently when the problem is the same.

All that has been done is to shift the problem from one US state to the other.

Thanks for that.

I misunderstood your previous post. Thanks for clearing that up and I see your point.

The states that the illegals are going to, need to enact/enforce the same laws as Arizona and Oklahoma in order to combat the problem. Apparently those laws work.
