'Google search: Burckle Crater / Indian Ocean. The nutties have already got a hold of the thing so there are quite a few of the usuall crazies. Look for 'Dallas Abbot' ....New York Times article. Therein is also mentioned the idea that the object which hit broke into three parts. Burckle Crater itself is an eight mile wide crater, a little over ten thousand feet down under the Indian Ocean off the Southern tip of Africa.

If one studies the regional apocalyptic mythologies one notes certain variations in the descriptions of destructive elements. If one compares those myths to computer simulations showing all impact related phenomenon over distances one begins to understand the variations. An impact such a Burckle by itself would have sent waves of quakes through earths mantle...water is only part of the mythos..
