Default Heroes and Villians

Okay let's have a good historical discussion: who do you think are the heroes in the history of the world? Likewise who do you think are the villians?

Mine include the following:
Heroes: MLK, George Washington, Gandhi, Truman, Thomas Jefferson

Villians: Hitler (of course), Stalin, Pol Pot, Idi Amin, Woodrow Wilson, FDR, Andrew Jackson, Osama bin Laden, Robert Mugabe, Kim Jong-Il, Kim Il-Sung, Fred Phelps

Simon Bolivar is a hero, as well as San Martin.

Fidel Castro is a hero of history and a villain of the present. Figure that one out.

Fidel Castro is also out of power now and is going to keel over any day now.

Heroes: Thomas Jefferson and James Madison. No men championed personal liberty like they did.

Villains: Humanity at large. Wars of today are waged because, like most other problems, the people demand them. Financial problems, famine, corruption, and all other manner of problem are caused not by a select few evil men, but by a species dedicated to making their lives more comfortable at the expense of others.

Well I'd say everyone's who's not committing any sort of crime or hindering humanity in any way don't count as villians.

I'll make myself popular, I don't consider Gandhi a hero because of his views in WW2 towards the british and the Jews.

I believe that FDR is a hero, not a villain.

What exactly did he say about the Jews that was so bad?

Even after he treated German, Japanese and Italian-Americans like crap when he imprisoned them all?

They aren't PAST history, but fortunately they will soon be history - I'd place GW Bush and Cheney on the Villains list.
